Rosedale Programs

Achievement Programs (Grades 4 - 8)

After-School Tutoring Program
Volunteers and students work one-on-one to create a personalized course of study to help students acquire important study skills and improve their academic performance. Parents are encouraged to follow the progress of their child closely.
Summer Achievement Program
Four-week program with emphasis on English, Math, Character, Art and Sports. Classes are held from 9 - 3 pm, Monday to Thursday. Outings to Fordham University & local museums are held each Friday.

Leadership Programs (Grades 4 - 12)

Saturday Morning Club
Activities teach students the "Art of Living," with classes in cooking, art, critical thinking, and character. Outings to area parks and museums are held three to four times a semester.
Saturday High School Club
High-level activities calculated to teach students important skills and concepts for the college application process; longer trips such as skiing and visits to Boston-area colleges are offered twice a year.

Technical Programs (Grades 4 - 12)

Standardized Test Prep Program
TACHS & SHSAT Preparation courses help students prepare for NYC high school entrance exams
Music Program (Grades 3-12)
Individual lessons in violin and voice and/or Rosedale choir in partnership with Concordia Conservatory in Bronxville, NY
Reading Readiness Program (For 3 to 4 year olds and their parents)
Warm learning environment that promotes reading for toddlers; also teaches parents how to bring reading into everyday activities at home.

Career and University Prep (CUP) Program (Grades 9 - 12)

One-on-One High School Tutoring
Volunteers and students work one-on-one to create a personalized course of study to help students acquire important study skills and improve their academic performance.
High School Club
High-level activities and guest speakers teach students important skills and concepts for the college application process; longer trips such as skiing and visits to Boston-area colleges are offered twice a year.
Summer Job Training Program
Office, computer & communication skills, resumes & interviews, career planning, assistance with job-searching and internship placements 
SAT Prep Program
Ten-week courses are offered every spring semester. Textbooks are provided for the course.
Adult Computer Classes
Weekly beginner and intermediate level classes designed for those parents wanting to sharpen their computer skills
