Mission of the Council
To increase the visibility of The
Rosedale Center by promoting the organization and supporting the Center
through fundraising efforts and program development.
Who are we?
A group of professional women
who support education for families and children in the South Bronx by
collaborating with The Rosedale Center.
What do the members do?
There are three committees the members join
or they work on individual projects. The Women’s Council meets on a
quarterly basis to determine projects and strategies to attain project
goals.
Fundraising Committee
– members help with
fundraising efforts. Future projects include: generating funds for our
rental space, job training stipends, company sponsorships, identify
companies for specific grants, and find scholarships for middle school
and high school students.
Program Committee
– members participate by helping Rosedale attain guest speakers, summer
internships for the job training program (paid or unpaid), and help
solicit volunteers for all programs.
Public Relations Committee
– members increase Rosedale’s visibility through their own professional
relationships and gain free press using industry contacts
Individual Projects
– members decide to commit to one project at a time. This allows for a
flexible commitment.
How many times a year do we
meet?
