What is
Love?
by Isamar, Student
I show love for
others through friendship, generosity, service, compassion,
respect, and sincerity. Love for others can be shown in
friendship through getting to know that person better. Love for
others can be shown in generosity and service because being
generous means to give up anything such as your time, money, or
even your life. Respect shows that you listen and pay attention
to that person. Sincerity shows that you care about someone no
matter what they are going through.
I show love
for myself by having temperance, moderation, work, attitude,
self-confidence, perseverance, and purpose. Temperance shows
that I have control over things I use that might hurt my body in
some way. Perseverance shows that no matter what gets in my
way, I will do what I promised to do. Lastly, purpose shows
that I have a reason to be living on earth and I have to find
it.
I show love
for God through faith, hope, and charity. These three are the
theological virtues which were made to love, respect, and honor
God. Faith shows that you believe God. Hope shows that you
always know that He will come through for you. Finally, Charity
shows that you’re giving and caring towards others and that you
love God. It means that you would give up things such as money
and time. Love for God is very important if you want to get to
heaven.
